Largest workforce: California led the nation with 5,380 anesthesiologists employed in 2023. Growth leaders: Pennsylvania showed the highest growth in total employment (202.08%) and jobs per 1,000 (197.56%). Declines: Missouri experienced a 75% decrease in anesthesiology positions during the same period, followed by Alabama (-66.7%) and North Carolina (-58.2%). Ultrasound market continues rapid growthWhile workforce trends highlight significant demand for anesthesiologists in certain regions, the diagnostic ultrasound market has also experienced substantial growth, increasing from $8.2 billion in 2019 to an anticipated $20.4 billion by 2034. Ongoing technological advancements, the rising prevalence of chronic diseases, and a growing geriatric population fuel this trajectory. Additionally, healthcare providers and patients increasingly recognize the value of ultrasound in providing accurate and safe diagnostic solutions. Novo Nordisk's new production facility generates 400 new jobs in Denmark

Novo Nordisk announced plans to invest 8.5 billion Danish kroner to establish a completely new production facility in Odense, Denmark. The investment marks the first time in this century that Novo Nordisk breaks ground in Denmark by establishing a new production site. The new site will feature a state-of-the-art finished production facility and warehouse spanning over 40,000 m2. Designed to be modular and flexible, it will accommodate multiple product types within rare disease, such as haemophilia, both now and in the future. "The facility will utilise advanced technology and innovative equipment to ensure the highest quality to patients and meet the growing global demand for our life-changing medicines,” says Henrik Wulff, executive vice president, Product Supply, Quality & IT of Novo Nordisk. “We are proud to build on our heritage in Denmark and look forward to embarking on this journey in Odense, a well-connected city with a dynamic community and talented workforce." The new facility will be established with a commitment to preserve the nature in the area, and more than 4,000 new trees will be planted at the site. Buildings will be equipped with solar panels to enhance on-site electricity generation. The landscape will be designed by reusing excess soil, wooden materials and other sustainable resources to create lakes, forests and community spaces open to the public.Construction work has commenced and is scheduled to be completed in 2027. The investment is expected to create 400 permanent jobs upon completion of the facilities.

Abbott Opens New Facility in Ireland to Boost Diabetes Technology Production, Create 800 + jobs.
