Description
- Meet daily production objectives and manage each shift to ensure production efficiency, optimizing the use of resources, labor, equipment, and materials.
- Supervise a team of hourly employees with a strong focus on engagement and performance.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, efficiency, uptime, cost, and Quality Control objectives, as well as adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Assist in troubleshooting and investigations to address off-standard results.
- Maintain safety, health, and environmental procedures, identifying and correcting potential issues while driving continuous improvement through Risk Assessment strategies.
- Schedule manpower, machinery, and materials to meet or exceed budget requirements, resolving work problems and recommending productivity and quality improvements.
- Work extended hours or weekends as needed to meet deadlines or address operational issues.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
Highest qualification: University
- High School Diploma, GED/CAEC and/or educational credential assessment (ECA) is required.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience leading and supervising a team in a manufacturing environment, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to manage a diverse workforce and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Must be clean shaven to wear a respirator, as required by Health & Safety standards.
- Demonstrable leadership experience at Catalent (including but not limited to participation in Catalent-sponsored leadership programs such as NGGL, GOLD, LEAD Now, GM Excellence, and GROW) may be considered in place of external experience.
- Currently, Catalent participates in the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) on a limited basis.
- Candidates with non-Canadian credentials must provide an evaluation confirming Canadian equivalency through the Alliance of Credential Evaluation Services of Canada (ACESC), such as World Education Services (WES).
- The employee's role frequently involves sitting and utilizing hands and fingers for tasks such as handling, feeling, and keyboard manipulation, necessitating manual dexterity. Occasionally, the position requires standing, walking, reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, alongside close vision capabilities and potential exposure to chemicals.
