Description
- Develop and execute the commercial strategy that delivers sustainable business growth, enhances patient access, and creates value for customers.
- Localize and implement annual and mid-term commercial plans, adapting global brand strategies to the Thailand market.
- Ensure launch readiness and successful commercialization of new indications of in-market or pipeline products.
- Partner closely with Medical Affairs to align on scientific engagement, evidence generation, and stakeholder strategy.
- Work transversally across functions (Market Access, Medical, Regulatory, Finance, Supply Chain, HR) to deliver integrated execution.
- Ensure execution of commercial capabilities plan, enhancing digital, data analytic, and omnichannel engagement.
- Monitor market, policy, and competitive dynamics and proactively adapt strategies.
- Ensure the highest standards of compliance, ethics, and risk management in all commercial activities.
- Review and provide recommendation to brand teams on local brand strategic and operation plans aligned with global, regional and local priorities.
- Own the P&L and deliver revenue, profitability, market share and growth targets.
- Co-create brand objectives & OKRs with brand teams and aligned with GM and regional team.
- Oversee forecasting, budgeting, and A&P spending as well as budget accuracy.
- Translate commercial and market access strategies into actionable tactics and monitor business performance, execution plans and implement corrective actions when needed.
- Drive operational efficiency while maximizing return on investment to support the corporate priorities for sustainable margin transformation aligned with CSP26
- Identify potential risks related to commercial strategies, PAI schemes/programs, product launches and develop risk mitigation plans.
- Lead the lifecycle management of in-market brands including new indications and prepare business cases for pipeline products.
- Lead portfolio assessment and optimize portfolio investment and resource allocation.
- Ensure launch excellence and readiness for new products in local affiliate.
- Build strong relationships with HCPs, HCOs, Payers, and other key stakeholders.
- Identify market opportunities, customer and payer insights, and competitive dynamics.
- Ensure customer-centric execution across all commercial activities.
- Partner closely with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, Finance, HR, Legal, and Ethic & Compliance.
- Align cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
- Lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams
- Set objectives and SMART KPIs for Brand Leads and Sales Lead, delegate effectively
- Conduct performance reviews, build organizational capability and support career development
- Manage succession planning, hiring, capability building and drive employee engagement initiatives with HR
- Foster a culture of Accountability, Outcome Focus, One Astellas, Sense of Urgency and Courage
- Develop and empower brand teams to take agile decisions in line with the Brands @ Center approach.
- Work collaboratively with the Head of Medical Affairs to champion the Brands @ Center way of working, and coach the Value Delivery Team to deliver brand KPIs and maximize brand performance.
- Work collaboratively with Operations team to champion digital transformation and omnichannel engagement.
- Encourage innovation in commercial execution, drive innovative, customer-centric approaches to expand Oncology business.
- Drive organizational change, evaluate alternatives, encourage idea generation, and adapt to market changes.
- Build and maintain strong external relationships while acting as an ambassador for Astellas
- Build partnerships with key stakeholders across patient pathway and value chain.
- Strengthen Key Account Management capabilities of Value Delivery Team to develop long-term partnerships with key strategic accounts.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between APAC and ATH Oncology BU for strategic projects or initiatives.
- Ensure all commercial activities, PAI programs and product launches comply with relevant pharmaceutical regulations, industry standards, PReMA Code and ethical guidelines.
- Promote ethical decision-making and risk management.
- Collaborate with GM on special projects and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications
- Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Medical Sciences or related fields
- 10+ years of commercial leadership experience in the pharmaceutical industry – TA Oncology or new oncology product launch experience is preferred
- Experience leading diverse, cross-functional, and high-performing teams, including talent development and succession planning.
- Proven success in launching innovative medicines.
- People and team leadership experience
- Has Good Command of written and spoken in English and local language
- Outstanding influencing stakeholder capabilities
- Ability to identify and articulate sales opportunities and risks
- Strong stakeholder management and the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with senior management, diverse cross-functional as well as cross country teams
