Description
- Increase our competitive advantage by building strong partnerships between Avantor / VWR and the key customer(s).
- Achieve annual territory sales and gross margin targets as set by the business.
- Deliver on the business and customer-specific strategy, growing spend in a sustainable method that shows value to the customer through innovative projects.
- Utilize your knowledge of life sciences to resolve the needs of a key complex pharmaceutical company, showcasing VWR's vast products & services offerings.
- Promote VWR’s products and services where they benefit the client.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Work with other account management colleagues to share best practices and to drive conformity across different customer sites.
- Work with preferred suppliers to gain a competitive edge, both technically and commercially.
- Forecast the monthly and annual exit position for revenue and profit.
- Collaborate with fellow sales team members who visit the same end users by maintaining regular weekly communication to ensure clarity for the customer and to minimize duplication of efforts.
Qualifications
- Strong background in life sciences (ideally with a corresponding degree or vocational training).
- A record of success in a previous key account sales role is highly desirable, particularly in the pharmaceutical market.
- A track record of on-site sales abilities (territory/area sales experience).
- Exceptional networking abilities and a track record of developing strong, partnership-based relationships with various stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills with an ability to influence others in a matrix environment.
- Well-structured approach to problem-solving and great time management skills.
- Fluent English & fluent German are a must; fluent French is a strong advantage.
- A driving license and driving experience.
