Description
- Develop national medical education & training plans in collaboration with the director of medical strategy and other internal stakeholders.
- Conduct needs assessments and set objectives, target audiences, formats, budgets, and KPIs; gather competitor intelligence and perform critical analyses to inform medical education strategies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across NAMA & Global to support deliverables.
- Contribute to the creation, review, and management of scientific content for medical meetings, disease state materials, training modules, and other medical education resources; partner with KEEs and SMEs to create high‑quality scientific content.
- Deliver accredited educational programs (live and virtual) compliant with Canadian standards, including program promotion, participant engagement, applications, and expense tracking.
- Prepare accreditation applications and ensure all disclosure and documentation requirements are met.
- Liaise with and manage vendors to ensure timely and quality delivery.
- Represent the company at events, supporting faculty and attendees.
- Analyze program outcomes to drive continuous improvement and partner with cross-functional teams to identify trends in customer needs to prioritize education gaps.
- Administer educational grants and budgets.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, ethical, and company guidelines relevant to the pharmaceutical industry.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required. Advanced degree (PharmD or PhD) in biosciences or related fields is preferred.
- 1-3 years experience supporting the creation of Medical Education materials or within medical affairs. An internship or industry residence is preferred.
- Experience in launch planning and execution of launch related Medical/Medical Communications tactics preferred.
- Medical communications vendor management experience
- Ability to conduct focused literature searches on topics relevant to disease areas that LEO Pharma is engaged.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong formal presentation skills, including strong organization and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team‑oriented environment, and willingness to travel approximately 20%, including attendance at major congresses.
- Proven track record of working successfully with cross-functional teams.
