Description
- Growing Pharma business through the development of new leads and new contacts. Track, identify and add qualified prospects to sales pipeline.
- Work closely with technical marketing, in particular industry market management department to develop opportunities in Pharma markets.
- Coordinate with sales teams to develop mutually beneficial proposals, nurturing and developing relationships with key customers.
- Lead project management to coordinate with different departments in customer organization to ensure right projects being developed.
- Work closely with value added services department to develop application-based value propositions that fit customers’ needs
- Achieves the agreed targets on new business developments by expanding market penetration & increase market share.
- Support the commercial team with other responsibilities as required.
- Plans out customer visit independently. Monitors, updates, and submits report of competitors and keeps records in CRM of existing and prospective customers.
- Manage existing customers and develop new customer relationships
- Working closely with customer by troubleshooting and resolving any issues arise during formulation development or manufacturing.
- Technical selling by providing effective solution for pharma formulation development to create impactful projects to the business.
- Manage existing and develop new product and market opportunities driving business growth and market share for the business unit.
- Identify high potential accounts and determine strategies for converting prospects
- Following sales protocols and procedures, generate new leads and improve/increase conversion rates and sales interactions
- Utilising call planning, pipeline management, lead identification and qualification, undertake proactive sales calling and performance monitoring to drive sales and achieve set targets
- Raise customer awareness by assisting in determining the right products for the customer’s needs as well as raising customer awareness of product options/ opportunities
- Supporting technical inquiries by providing solution to accelerate the business developments.
- Work as team player to provide technical solutions to key customers within the country.
- Prepare and offer quotations to customers.
- Prepare CRM reports relating to customers in the format and timing specified by Managers (reporting includes regular call reports and special reports as requested by management at a suppliers’ request)
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of Sales & Marketing experience in Pharmaceutical and /or Nutraceutical Industry.
- Proven track record in new business development and managed technical projects into relevant industry.
- Experience in formulation of new products and through understanding for synergies within ingredients and excipients would be advantageous.
- Technically sound in pharmaceutical/ nutraceutical discipline with the ability to demonstrate and communicate the value proposition of Pharma/Nutra products.
- Experience in dealing with suppliers and manage their expectation within country.
