Description

  • Develop new customers or business opportunities with sales and application teams
  • Assist customers with product queries and applications troubleshooting including assisting with product selection decisions
  • Efficient and effective follow up of customer requests for information.
  • Develop customized training content to ensure comprehensive understanding of Avantor BPS products and their applications in bioprocessing, enhancing product interesting and satisfaction
  • Understand the value drivers and technical requirements for customers.
  • Responsible in presenting and delivering product training to Avantor sales, distributors and customers
  • Understands Avantor product offering and articulates a compelling technical rationale for the use of Avantor products used in Bioprocess manufacturing.
  • Supports customers with technical expertise to qualify Avantor products during early project stages
  • Participate in the Company’s cross-functional organizational task force(s) if need be
  • Travels to and works at customer's site and leads projects to enhance the performance of Avantor’s products
  • Other duties as assigned with or without accommodation

Qualifications

  • Education: BA or BS degree in Biotechnology or related field, Engineering and Biochemistry.
  • M.S. preferred in similar fields or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Experience: More than 3 years' work experience in pharmaceuticals/ biotech/ life science space, technical sales, sales, application or engineering.
  • Make business opportunities and revenue about process chemicals, chromatography resins and other process solutions.
  • Understanding of Bio/pharmaceutical process and application
  • Preferred Skills/Qualifications: Good relationship and network with biopharma and life science customers.
  • Should be able to discuss with customer’s organization for product application and product promotion.
  • Customer Orientation, interpersonal effectiveness and high level of collaborative behavior.
  • Demonstrate a strong drive for result.
  • Well organized and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong competency in Microsoft Office, specifically PowerPoint, Word and Excel; excellent knowledge and execution in Excel
  • Able to be at customer sites as required
