Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED) invites student-led teams from colleges and universities across the country to participate in the NEOvations Bench to Bedside competitionStudents and professionals collaborate on teams to develop medical innovations from concept to prototype. Open to all disciplines, this journey culminates in a showcase for judges and investors. Top teams earn prizes ranging from $10,000 to $1,000 to invest in their innovations.

The 2025 NEOvations Bench to Bedside competition showcase will be held Wednesday, April 9, in the NEOMED Education and Wellness Center (NEW Center), 4211 St. Rt. 44, Rootstown, Ohio. The event is free and open to the public. Check in begins at 4:30 p.m.

"The NEOvations Bench to Bedside program provides an outstanding platform to engage students into interdisciplinary teams and unleash creativity to solve some of the world's biggest health care problems," said NEOMED President John T. Langell, M.D., Ph.D., M.P.H., M.B.A.

During the showcase, student teams will present medical devices and technologies that address unmet patient needs. Their goal is to bring these innovations to market. Teams develop their projects throughout the year, working with investors, attorneys, researchers and other leaders in health care to learn the bench-to-bedside process.
