New pediatric emergency nursing and trauma nursing specialty review courses will be released October 5 on the award-winning BCEN Learn nursing professional development platform, the Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing (BCEN) announced. In conjunction with Emergency Nurses Week (Oct. 5-11) and Pediatric Nurses Week (Oct. 6-10), purchasers of either course will also receive the corresponding practice exam at no additional cost during a limited-time offer.
Developed and maintained by the BCEN Learn team, the CPEN Review Course: Essentials of Pediatric Emergency Nursing and TCRN Review Course: Essentials of Trauma Nursing support RNs preparing to sit for the Certified Pediatric Emergency Nurse (CPEN) and Trauma Certified Registered Nurse (TCRN) exams. In addition to exam preparation, the comprehensive, interactive review courses are also suitable for nurses seeking to build, update or deepen specialty knowledge as well as for certified RNs pursuing continuing education for recertification.
"Pediatric emergency and trauma patients deserve care from nurses who bring specialized knowledge and skills to the bedside," said BCEN CEO Janie Schumaker, MBA, BSN, RN, CEN, ICE-CCP, CENP, CPHQ, FABC. "These two new BCEN Learn review courses demonstrate BCEN's ongoing commitment to supporting nurses at every stage of their professional journey with innovative, impactful learning experiences."
