Identifying and interpreting customer requirements, and aligning these requirements with QIAGEN’s extensive portfolio of instruments and products.
- Building customer trust and relationships by driving customer satisfaction and increasing QIAGEN’s competitive advantage. Assist in the development and maintenance of reference customers.
- Budget achievement through the growth of existing accounts and the identification and development of new customers within the Midlands UK geography.
- Effective weekly/monthly planning of field based activities. Reporting and forecasting via the customer relationship management system (CRM).
- Maintain and expand market knowledge including market and technology trends, commercial awareness of competitors, research and clinical networks, latest patient guidelines and testing recommendations.
Bachelor of Science, PhD or equivalent experience.
- 2-3 years relevant lab/working experience eg. infectious diseases routine testing, clinical genomics, research or similar would be an advantage.
- Desirable: experience selling life science and diagnostic solutions into the research, NHS and/or clinical markets.
- Consultative selling skills and a customer focused approach.
- Knowledge of relevant markets and competitive landscape – Research, Molecular Diagnostics and Clinical Patient testing.
- Located within the North West and West Yorkshire area with a willingness to travel to customer sites 80% of the time (full driving license essential). Key accounts are located in Liverpool, Lancashire, Manchester and Leeds.
