Description
- Establishes and develops professional business relationships with customers (HCPs) within a specified geographic area or customer segment.
- Develops knowledge of customer needs through regular contact and by utilizing resources such as Customer Relationship Management (CRM).
- Calls on current and potential customers to sell assigned product(s), including existing accounts and prospects within a specified geography.
- Makes outbound telephone calls to healthcare professionals to promote product(s) and services.
- Develops and implements effective marketing strategies to reach target audiences and achieve sales goals.
- Identifies and capitalizes on opportunities to increase sales volume through the sale of additional products or services.
- Maintains accurate records of customer contacts using CRM.
- Participates in required training programs to enhance sales skills and product knowledge.
- Keeps abreast of new developments in products, therapeutic areas, and market trends.
- Attends meetings and events as requested by supervisor.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of outside sales experience, preferably in pharmaceutical/healthcare industry.
- BS degree preferred; equivalent experience may be substituted.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to adapt to change and handle multiple priorities.
- Computer proficiency with MS Office applications and CRM systems.
- Detail-oriented with excellent follow-through skills.
- Highly motivated self-starter with proven track record of success.
- Willingness to travel extensively within assigned territory.
