Familiarity with shipping regulations (e.g., IATA/ADR/IMDG) and transport safety standards for hazardous goods, along with general knowledge of dispatching materials
Working knowledge of RMS (Sample Management System) is advantageous
Previous experience in scientific stores or a life science laboratory environment, with practical knowledge of aseptic techniques, pipetting, and sample aliquoting is preferable
Proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and using IT systems to maintain accurate records and track shipments
Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively address complex queries and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications
Prepare and pack for shipment Research & Development samples (biological, chemical, dangerous goods) globally, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and transport regulations (air/road/sea)
Act as the primary contact for inventory management, aliquoting, and dispatch of research samples to both local and international locations
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GLP, GxP, IATA/ADR/IMDG) when preparing and shipping biological, chemical, and hazardous materials
Maintain and update the in-house RMS database, ensuring accurate data capture and record-keeping
Resolve or escalate complex shipping queries, liaising with internal teams, external partners, and regulatory bodies as needed
Monitor and ensure the proper handling, storage, and timely shipment of materials, including temperature-sensitive and hazardous goods
