Conduct HCP needs assessment nationally and contribute to identifying educational gaps in partnership with cross-functional colleagues.
Lead the planning and development of a strategic health education plan in line with the needs assessment, learning gaps and overall brand strategic imperatives to successfully design, develop and implement health education solutions.
Lead the design of forward-thinking health education strategies and tactics, measurable by defined KPIs, aimed at impacting HCP knowledge, attitude and skills, and overall behaviors to elevate standards of care and foster improved patient outcomes.
Oversee the health education plan’s timeline, scope, budget ensuring cost-effectiveness, resource optimization and successful execution
Develop and implement effective digital engagement strategies, utilizing various tools and channels to enhance HCP digital interactions
Conduct and ensure accountability in the review of educational standards for health education materials, ensuring they meet established criteria and quality benchmarks.

Ensure that all AbbVie’s health education offerings meet the highest ethical standards, including but not limited to, Innovative Medicine Canada, National Accreditation Standards, Canadian Medical Association requirements as well as internal policies
Identify and cultivate relationships with internal stakeholders, including but not restricted to brand team members, and in-field team (IFT), for optimal health education quality and a comprehensive approach to successful execution
Identify and cultivate relationships with external stakeholders including HCPs, professional associations and vendors to create high-quality health education content that upholds AbbVie Health Education standards
Assess the effectiveness of health education offerings through data collection and analysis, leveraging insights to craft and adapt evidence-based educational solutions
Report on health education deliverables, impact and insights through clear oral and written communication to all stakeholders
Stay abreast of therapeutic and environmental knowledge to ensure industry-leading health education program design & execution
Demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development and provide thought leadership in health education.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in science or healthcare discipline.
Oncology experience.
Relevant education and/or experience in Health Education and Adult Learning Principles is a strong asset.
Knowledge of Canadian healthcare environment and various national health education environments, accrediting bodies and systems is a strong asset.
Certification in CHE or equivalent obtained or to be obtained within one year of attaining responsibility for CHE activities.
