Be an active business partner to GEHC China PDx business, providing ongoing legal advice to business and working with business to identify strategic opportunities to increase growth/reduce costs in a highly regulated environment
Drive projects, transactions, new scheme feasibility study to move forward, with flexibility and solution provider mindset
Conclude sales, distribution, sourcing, research, and other important business agreements and provide legal advice
Advise on bidding, marketing and promotion activities to manage legal risks
Oversee emerging risks as well as corrective actions, and implement strategies that will protect the business and manage business risk
Support compliance investigations and compliance projects as appropriate
Monitor disputes and litigations and supervise external counsels with controlled budget
Anticipate and drive solutions for unassigned legal and business issues and growth initiatives
Qualifications
Attorney qualification in China
Experience of pharmaceutical business and previous exposure to pharmaceutical industry regulations
A minimum of 10 years of business law experience at a large international law firm and/or a multinational corporation’s legal department
Attorney qualification in other countries (U.S., U.K, etc.) is a plus
Experience handling national volume based procurement (VBP) is a plus
Expertise in litigation is a plus
Demonstrated leadership capability to influence business to drive growth in a healthy and sustainable way
Demonstrated experience identifying and resolving complex legal issues quickly and effectively
Demonstrated experience prioritizing conflicting demands from multiple business clients in an extremely fast-paced environment
Demonstrated experience providing legal advice in a highly regulated industry that drives business outcomes
Ability to effectively communicate in both English and Chinese
