According to jobs platform, foundit (formerly known as Monster APAC & ME), the healthcare sector is emerging as a major employer, having generated over 7.5 million jobs and reflecting its critical role in the nation's economy. The healthcare and pharmaceuticals industry has recorded an impressive 62% year-on-year (YoY) growth, along with a 7% increase in hiring over the past three months, underscoring its rapid expansion and evolving workforce dynamics.

The healthcare sector boasts high female representation (38% of the workforce), yet leadership roles remain disproportionately male-dominated, with women holding only 4% of these positions.

These initiatives can help break down barriers and promote gender equity in leadership and specialised medical fields.
